2018 UTSA Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Lecture Series

My Brother Martin:

Democracy, Decency, and Developing Student Success in 21st Century America

Dear Colleague,

Earlier this week, the African American Studies Program worked with various offices on campus to organize participants for San Antonio’s Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March on January 15, 2018.  The seven buses we sponsored, enabled hundreds of students, staff, and faculty to participate in and engage with the meaning of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Our bright orange shirts really helped us stand out. We were so proud to be Roadrunners!

Today, we are proudly inviting you to our upcoming event next week: The 2018 UTSA Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Lecture Series. This year Dr. Ricky Jones is our guest speaker who will present “My Brother Martin: Democracy, Decency, and Developing Student Success in 21st Century America” at the Retama Room (UC2.02.02) on January 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The event will also feature the Presidential remarks from Dr. Taylor Eighmy and the Dean’s remarks from Dr. Margo DelliCarpini. Please join us!
